Dementia Friendly Parishes - Carer's Catch Up

Buckfastleigh Memory Café - Travel By Steam Train
Venue: South Devon Railway, Dart Bridge Road, Buckfastleigh - TQ11 0DZ Travel by steam train through the Devon countryside with South Devon Railway, with refreshments and support provided. This is a safe and welcoming space for local people with memory problems and those that care for them. Donation only. Please note that due to the Steam Trail Christmas schedule and track maintenance during the winter months the memory café is held in a carriage in a sidings. Venue: The Old School Community Centre in South Brent Every 6 weeks, trained nail cutters will cut and trim your nails for you at The Old School Community Centre in South Brent. These are held on Tuesday and Thursday from 9.30am to 1.00pm. (Some medical conditions are excluded – please ask). Costs – *Changed in March 2024* £17.00 on first visit (to include cutting and and new nail clippers £7.00 one off costs) £10.00 for toe nail cutting £3.50 for finger nail cutting (requires separate clippers & related cost if booked) Call the South Brent & District Caring office for further details or to book an appointment contact us on the number below.
